I'll dominate 'credible combatant' Jake Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua will face Jake Paul in an eight-bout match which will be broadcast in real-time on Netflix.

Briton Joshua said he will "dominate completely" the American and "defeat" the American as the combatants confronted each other to build hype for the upcoming boxing match.

Former two-time world heavyweight champion Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a mammoth disparity - at Miami's venue on December 19th.

Boxer's Mindset

"I'm going to break his face and break his body up. I aim to demonstrate I'm superior," the British boxer, 35, said.

"I will dominate him completely. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I'm going to genuinely try to hurt him. That's what I want to do."

Civil Interaction

Despite these statements, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - typically recognized for his showmanship - were respectful and kept it respectful with each other.

Jake Paul instead criticized former Joshua's opponent the Cameroonian fighter and called him "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian rejected a match opportunity.

Targeting Fury

Joshua, meanwhile, criticized UK opponent Tyson Fury - and rejected a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a victory for Paul.

"[Paul] is superior to Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua said.

"I give him credit for that."

Legitimate Opponent

Despite saying he intends to damage his opponent, Joshua refused to speak negatively about his opponent's fighting skills.

"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he stated.

Jake Paul's History

Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has primarily boxed MMA fighters or faded names since turning professional.

He was defeated by Briton Tommy Fury in last year.

Commercial Attraction

However, the novice continues to be one of boxing's largest commercial attractions, regularly earning massive earnings.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28-year-old predicted a stoppage in rounds four or five and asserted he would stop the long-awaited Fury-Joshua bout, which is reportedly being planned for two years from now.

"The next fight will be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul declared.

Size Disparity

As the two fighters participated in the usual confrontation, with their height and weight contrast evident, it highlighted just how improbable this whole event is - and how amazing it is that the match is truly proceeding.
